The History of Halloween !

Halloween atau All Hallows Eve adalah hari yang dirayakan beberapa negara pada tanggal 31 Oktober. Bagaimanakah asal mula dan sejarah dari hari Halloween ini? Mengapa berbagai negara di belahan dunia mengakui hari ini sebagai hari yang harus dirayakan bahkan menjadikannya hari libur?

Festival Samhain Bangsa Kelt (Celtic)

Bangsa Kelt atau Celtic adalah bangsa yang hidup sekitar 2.000 (dua ribu) tahun yang lalu pada daerah yang sekarang kita kenal sebagai Irlandia, Inggris dan Perancis. Bagi bangsa ini, 1 November dipercaya sebagai awal mula tahun baru, dan pada malam 31 Oktober mereka merayakan festival yang disebut sebagai "Samhain" yang berarti "akhir musim panas".

Pada tanggal 31 Oktober mereka mempercayai bahwa Dewa Kematian, Saman, akan mengumpulkan roh orang yang telah meninggal tahun-tahun sebelumnya untuk mencapai kehidupan selanjutnya (afterlife). Pada saat itulah, setan, iblis, dan roh-roh leluhur bebas berjalan-jalan di dunia, merusak hasil panen, dan menyebabkan masalah lainnya. Inilah yang menjadi ide utama dari festival Samhain.

Pada Festival Samhain, orang-orang akan menggunakan kostum menyerupai hantu dan sejenisnya agar para roh menganggap mereka yang mengenakan kostum sebagai teman, dan tidak menyebabkan masalah mereka yang masih hidup. Biasanya ini juga akan didampingi dengan parade untuk mengarahkan para roh keluar dari kota. Sedangkan alasan dari api unggun adalah karena Pendeta Celtic percaya pada Festival Samhain, ramalan akan lebih jelas dibandingkan hari lainnya dan melalui api unggun maka hubungan dengan Dewa Matahari akan lebih kuat.

Walaupun begitu untuk mencapai Hari Halloween yang kita kenal sekarang ini, prosesnya sangatlah panjang. Dimulai dari dominasi Roma terhadap Bangsa Celtic yang menambahkan unsur asrama, legalitas Kristen yang mengganti arti awal festival Samhain menjadi lebih baik - seperti api unggun yang tadinya untuk Dewa Matahari menjadi simbol untuk menjauhkan hal yang jahat, dan proses yang masih banyak lainnya. Untuk membahas semua ini sangatlah panjang dan akan membosankan, yang paling penting untuk diketahui adalah dasar dan awal mula dari Hari Halloween ini karena maknanya sebenarnya tidak berbeda jauh dari Halloween sekarang ini.

Jack O' Lantern

Buah labu kuning dengan ukiran dan lilin di dalamnya atau Jack O' Lantern adalah salah satu simbol Halloween. Ini semua berasal dari legenda Irlandia yang mengatakan bahwa alkisah Si Iblis datang untuk mengambil nyawa seorang pencuri bernama Jack. Tapi jack dapat menipu Si Iblis dengan membuatnya berjanji untuk tidak pernah mengambil nyawa Jack.

Sesudah hidupnya yang sangatnya panjang, Jack mencoba untuk melewati "Gerbang Ke Surga", tetapi tidak diperbolehkan karena tindakannya yang jahat. Ia kemudian berusaha untuk masuk ke neraka, tapi karena Si Iblis telah berjanji untuk tidak mengambil nyawanya, maka ia juga tidak diperbolehkan masuk ke neraka. Jack kemudian mencari alasan bahwa ia tidak dapat melihat jalan pulang karena terlalu gelap, Si Iblis tertawa dan memberikannya bara api kecil. Jack kemudian mengubah bara api itu menjadi sebuah lentera dengan lobak di kantongnya. Inilah yang menjadi cikal bakal dari Jack Of The Lantern, ditakdirkan untuk selamanya menjelajahi bumi karena tidak diterima di Neraka maupun Surga.

Arti dari buah labu dengan ukiran muka yang menyeramkan ini ditujukan untuk menakuti para roh, setan atau iblis yang jahat sedangkan lentera dengan bentuk buah labu ditujukan untuk menenangkan para roh yang ditakdirkan menyerupai Jack.

Awal Mula Trick or Treat dan Malam Pengemis

Halloween masuk ke Amerika saat Imigran Eropa membawa berbagai kostum Halloween bersama mereka. Pada pertengahan abad 19, Amerika memiliki banyak sekali imigran baru, salah satunya adalah bangsa Irlandia. Dengan menggabungkan tradisi Irlandia dan Iggris, Amerika memulai tradisi "trick-or-treat", dimana para anak-anak akan menghampiri rumah tetangga untuk mendapatkan permen.

"trick-or-treat" sendiri dikatakan terjadi karena anak-anak miskin imigran Irlandia sangatlah nakal dan untuk melawan kenakalan mereka, para masyarakat Amerika mulai menyarankan untuk memberikan mereka permen atau hal-hal sejenisnya (treat) untuk menyogok atau menyuap mereka. Inilah sebabnya mengapa Halloween juga dikenal sebagai "Beggar's Night" atau "Malam Pengemis".

Halloween di Berbagai Belahan Dunia

Tradisi dan Pentingnya Hari Halloween sendiri, sangatlah berbeda antara negara-negara di dunia antara. Seperti di Irlandia, mereka akan menyalakan api unggun diiringi kembang api. Di Brittany, anak-anak akan menyalakan lilin dalam tengkorak pada pemakaman. Hari Halloween di US dan Canada sangatlah menentukan bagaimana Hari Halloween dirayakan di negara-negara lainnya. Beberapa negara lain yang merayakan Halloween adalah Amerika Selatan, Australia, New Zealand, Eropa, Jepang, dan Asia Timur.

What Is A Social Media Strategist?

I attend several Networking events and meetings IRL (in real life) and everyone always asks “What Is A Social Media Strategist?” or “OK so youTwitter and Facebook?” Along with other questions. I want to clarify exactly what I do, who I am and some of what you can expect from a Social Media Strategist.

So to answer the Twitter and Facebook question first, yes I Twitter, yes I Facebook BUT that is not all that I do. If this is all that was done then I suppose I would have to be called a Social Media Account Manager? Not sure exactly what it would be called, but no, that’s not me.

A Social Media Strategist, much like myself, is creative; we strategize new and UNIQUE ways to use the Social Web. We also understand that there is a real world. In my opinion, being a Social Media Strategist means that you understand the need to tie in other avenues of marketing to compliment the Social Media efforts.  Our job doesn’t end because we’ve stepped away from the computer. There are so many ways that the real world and the Internet connect and can meet in the middle and Social Media Strategists understand this and incorporate it into campaigns for their clients as well as self.

Social Media Strategists research. We read, watch, listen, review and ultimately learn all of the time. Our downtime is learning about the newest Facebook feature, checking out beta invites for new platforms and or watching videos on new apps to compliment other existing platforms.

Social Media Strategists understand that that SEM (adwords/ PPC), when done correctly can compliment and enhance the efforts of a Social Media Strategy.

Social Media Strategists did not just join Twitter yesterday, they did not just embrace the technology of Facebook in the past month. These people have been a part of these communities for years. They have built a community for themselves and they invite and welcome you in with open arms trying to help anyone they can.

Social Media Strategists are indeed SOCIAL Online. We do not auto feed all of our posts, we do not auto follow back, we do not blast advertisements on our Social Sites and most of all everyone we connect with knows that we love what we do.

Social Media Strategists are NOT Experts! You can’t be an expert in something that is forever changing.

Social Media Strategists can’t promise ANYTHING Online. It’s all about being committed to the campaign and executing it in the best way you can. If something doesn’t work we do not get upset, we are already moving onto the next idea.

Social Media Strategists understand that not every client requires the same strategy. You cannot create a cookie cutter campaign to use for every client.

Social Media Strategists understand traditional marketing. We know that although the Internet is very powerful, you still need to do traditional marketing (in a creative way of course).

Social Media Strategists are positive Online. They respect their own Social Sites just as they will respect yours.

Social Media Strategists are some of the first people to beta test new social sites. They voice their opinions in Tweets and blog reviews, comment often and love being among the first to embrace something new.

There are so many other things that a Social Media Strategist is, but I think you all get the picture now.

If you are considering consulting a Social Media Strategist I would like to suggest that you do the following:

• Google their name. Find out where they are Online, as well as how they use their social sites. How are they branding their own business Online? Take notes and research this as you want someone that can be the Online voice for your company in a positive way. If their social sites seem abandoned or automatically updated with no social aspects, you can expect yours to be that way as well.

• Ask a lot of questions about services they offer. If you sense passion in their voice or in their email then you know that this isn’t just a way to make a quick buck for them. They really do love what they do.

• Do they have testimonials from trusted sources? I would check their LinkedIn account for that. Oh that reminds me, do they have a LinkedIn?

I hope this clears up some confusion as to what a Social Media Strategist is and what it is that we do.

Bayern beats Chelsea to win UEFA Super Cup 2014

PRAGUE (AP) — Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer saved a penalty by substitute Romelu Lukaku to giveChampions League winner Bayern Munich a 5-4 victory over Chelsea in a shootout Friday to claim the UEFA Super Cup, after the game finished 2-2 following extra time.

Ten-man Chelsea looked on the verge of victory afterEden Hazard made it 2-1 in extra time but substituteJavi Martinez equalized with the last kick of the game to force the shootout.

All nine players converted their penalties before Lukaku stepped up, and Neuer dove to his left to keep the shot out.

Fernando Torres had given Europa League winner Chelsea an early lead with a fierce volley, beforeFranck Ribery equalized two minutes into the second half with a hard shot that seemed to catch Petr Cechby surprise.

Bayern won its first Super Cup in the club's fourth attempt, earning a first trophy with the team for new coach Pep Guardiola.

"It's the first time, we're proud of that," Guardiola said. "We played unbelievably good football. I'm so happy with our performance."

Guardiola took over Bayern after a one-year sabbatical, and the team has started the German season strongly by picking up 10 points out of a possible 12 in the Bundesliga.

"(The victory) is great for the entire team but it means even more for the coach," Ribery said.

Chelsea was left a man down when Ramires was sent off in the 85th minute after receiving his second yellow card for a rough tackle on substitute Mario Goetze.

That decision clearly upset Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho who was trying to get an explanation from referee Jonas Eriksson during the break before extra time.

Mourinho has never won the Super Cup while it was the third victory for his fierce rival Guardiola who also won it with Barcelona in 2009 and 2011.

Mourinho, who had promised that his second spell with Chelsea will be calmer than when he was in charge in 2004-07, said he was "disappointed."

"My opinion is that the best team lost," he said. "The team that more deserved to win lost. But that's football. Sometimes, it happens in football."

Mourinho and Guardiola faced each other in series of testy 'clasicos' when the Portuguese coach was with Real Madrid, and their tense relationship brought an extra level of intensity to this Super Cup. The contest that pits last season's Champions League winner against the Europa League champion is often seen as lacking prestige, but it was clear from the start that both teams badly wanted to win this game.

And Guardiola, unsurprisingly, clearly disagreed with Mourinho.

"Yes, the better team has won," he said in German.

Mourinho complained the sending off of Ramires influenced the result and suggested that referees in the Premier League would not have given a player a second booking in such a case.

"Football is 11 against 11," Mourinho said. "Eleven against 10, it's more easy for the team with 11 and more difficult for the team with 10."

Throughout the match, Bayern was dominating possession while Chelsea relied on what Guardiola on Thursday called Mourinho's most dangerous weapon: quick counters.

Torres, who returned to the starting lineup after beginning on the bench against Manchester United on Monday, started the quick move leading to the opening goal. He passed to Eden Hazard who produced a strong run through the middle of the field before finding Andre Schurrle on the right flank, who squared for Torres to net with an unstoppable right-foot volley from inside the area.

A day after winning the UEFA Best Player in Europe award for the 2012-2013 season, Bayern midfielder Ribery looked dangerous throughout and equalized two minutes into the second half with an swerving drive from outside the area. He also had a shot just wide two minutes after scoring the goal and again in extra time. He also missed the target three times in the first half. In the 22nd he almost restored parity, forcing Cech into a brilliant diving save with curling low shot.

Three minutes into extra time, Hazard picked up the ball on the left flank and cut into the area, leaving two defenders behind before unleashing a powerful drive past Neuer for what looked likely to be the winner.

Cech then pulled off a series of stunning saves as Bayern pressed relentlessly for an equalizer — until Martinez slotted in from close range with the very last kick of extra time.

Ilmuwan Berhasil Menemukan Letak Terompet Malaikat Isrofil

Sekitar tahun 2005 silam sekelompok ilmuwan yang dipimpin oleh Prof. Frank Steiner dari Universitas Ulm, Jerman melakukan observasi terhadap alam semesta untuk menemukan bentuk sebenarnya dari alam semesta raya ini sebab prediksi yang umum selama ini mengatakan bahwa alam semesta berbentuk bulat bundar atau prediksi lain menyebutkan bentuknya datar saja.

Dengan menggunakan sebuah peralatan canggih milik NASA yang bernama “Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Prob” (WMAP), mereka mendapatkan sebuah kesimpulan yang sangat mencengangkan karena menurut hasil penelitian tersebut alam semesta ini ternyata berbentuk seperti terompet..!!

Di mana pada bagian ujung belakang wilayah “terompet” alam semesta itu merupakan alam semesta yang tidak bisa diamati (unobservable), sedang bagian depan, di mana bumi dan seluruh sistem tata surya berada merupakan alam semesta yang masih mungkin untuk diamati (observable)

Bentuk Alam Semesta
Di dalam kitab Tanbihul Ghofilin Jilid 1 hal. 60 ada sebuah hadits panjang yang menceritakan tentang kejadian kiamat yang pada bagian awalnya sangat menarik untuk dicermati.

Abu Hurairah ra berkata :

Rasulullah saw bersabda :“Ketika Allah telah selesai menjadikan langit dan bumi, Allah menjadikan sangkakala (terompet) dan diserahkan kepada malaikat Isrofil, kemudian ia letakkan dimulutnya sambil melihat ke Arsy (Singgasana kekuasaan) menantikan bilakah ia diperintah”.

Saya bertanya : “Ya Rasulullah apakah sangkakala itu?”

Jawab Rasulullah : “Bagaikan tanduk dari cahaya.”

Saya tanya : “Bagaimana besarnya?”

Jawab Rasulullah : “Sangat besar bulatannya, demi Allah yang mengutusku sebagai Nabi, besar bulatannya itu seluas langit dan bumi, dan akan ditiup hingga tiga kali.

Tiupan pertama : Nafkhatul faza’ (untuk menakutkan).

Tiupan kedua : Nafkhatus sa’aq (untuk mematikan).

Tiupan ketiga: Nafkhatul ba’ats (untuk menghidupkan kembali atau membangkitkan).”

Dalam hadits di atas disebutkan bahwa sangkakala atau terompet malaikat Isrofil itu bentuknya seperti tanduk dan terbuat dari cahaya.

Ukuran bulatannya seluas langit dan bumi. Bentuknya laksana tanduk mengingatkan kita pada terompet orang–orang jaman dahulu yang terbuat dari tanduk.

Kalimat seluas langit dan bumi dapat dipahami sebagai ukuran yang meliputi/mencakup seluruh wilayah langit (sebagai lambang alam tak nyata/ghoib) dan bumi (sebagai lambang alam nyata/syahadah).

Atau dengan kata lain, bulatan terompet malaikat Isrofil itu melingkar membentang dari alam nyata hingga alam ghoib.

Jika keshohihan hadits di atas bisa dibuktikan dan data yang diperoleh lewat WMAPakurat dan bisa dipertanggungjawabkan maka bisa dipastikan bahwa kita ini bagaikan rama-rama (kupu-kupu) yang hidup di tengah-tengah kaldera gunung berapi paling aktif yang siap meletus kapan saja.

Satu lagi contoh dari banyaknya bukti tentang kebenaran Kitab Suci akhirnya terkuak. Contohnya seperti dalam Al-Qur’an yang menyebutkan bahwa janin berkembang dengan tiga fase, yang akhirnya menjadi patokan bidang kedokteran di seluruh dunia.

Juga, bahwa matahari dan semua benda langit bergerak tanpa kecuali yang pada masa dahulu disangkal oleh para ilmuwan ternyata juga ada di dalam Al-Qur’an dan masih banyak kebenaran lainnya yang manusia belum dapat menguaknya.

Perlu diketahui pula bahwa Nabi Muhammad bukanlah seorang saintis apalagi seorang astronomis, namun itu semua sudah ada di kitab yang berusia lebih dari 1.400 tahun yang lalu.

Bukti yang tadinya untuk akal manusia saja masih merupakan misteri. Kenapa dan apa yang dimaksud dengan terompet (sangkakala) malaikat Isrofil itu?

Dan Allah telah mengabarkan kedahsyatan terompet malaikat Isrofil itu dalam surah An Naml ayat 87 :

“Dan pada hari ketika terompet di tiup, maka terkejutlah semua yang di langit dan semua yang di bumi kecuali mereka yang di kehendaki Allah. Dan mereka semua datang menghadapNya dengan merendahkan diri.” (An Naml 87)

Makhluk langit saja bisa terkejut apalagi makhluk bumi yang notabene jauh lebih lemah dan lebih kecil. Pada sambungan hadits di atas ada sedikit preview tentang seperti apa keterkejutan dan ketakutan makhluk bumi kelak.

“Pada saat tergoncangnya bumi, manusia bagaikan orang mabuk sehingga ibu yang mengandung gugur kandungannya, yang menyusui lupa pada bayinya, anak-anak jadi beruban dan setan-setan berlarian.”

Ada sebuah pertanyaan yang menggelitik, jika terompetnya saja sebesar itu, bagaimana dengan peniupnya dan bagaimana pula Sang Pencipta keduanya?

Maha Besar dan Maha Benar Allah SWT dengan segala firmanNya.

Brazil Won Confederation Cup 2013

Brazil have won the Confederations Cup after thrashing World and European champions Spain 3-0 in a one-sided final at a raucous Maracana Stadium.

Fred scored twice and Neymar once for the rampant hosts while the stunned Spaniards endured a miserable night, missing a penalty and finishing with 10 men.

The final got off to an incredible start when Brazil took the lead after just 95 seconds, Fred alertly lashing the ball into the net from close range as he lay on the ground, a cross to the back post having bounced off Neymar.

Brazil began the game at a ferocious pace and should have doubled their lead a few minutes later but Oscar shot wide after a lovely flick from Fred.

Paulinho then drew a decent save from Iker Casillas with a clever lob and the Brazilian players thought Alvaro Arbeloa was lucky to escape with just a booking after he pulled back Neymar.

Spain had an early penalty shout waved away and threatened again when Julio Cesar kept out a low shot from Andres Iniesta, Fernando Torres heading the subsequent corner over the bar.

But the Spaniards were looking unusually vulnerable at the back and Fred should have added to his tally, only to be denied by Casillas after latching onto a good pass from Neymar.

Luiz saves the day

David Luiz then saved the day for Brazil at the other end, sliding into the goalmouth to brilliantly clear a Pedro shot which seemed certain to find the corner of the net.

And Brazil made the most of their escape, doubling the lead just before the break when Oscar patiently waited for Neymar to get onside and then released him with a neat pass, which Neymar brilliantly smashed into the roof of the net.

The jubilant Brazilian fans were loving the action and were sent into raptures again just two minutes after the interval when Neymar dummied Hulk's pass and Fred steered the ball into the corner of the net, Casillas only able to get a hand to the shot.

Jesus Navas came off the bench for Spain and quickly won a penalty when he was tripped by Marcelo but Sergio Ramos's spot-kick was just wide of the left-hand post.

The entertainment was unrelenting in a hectic contest as both sides continued to attack and Casillas had to charge out of his goal to foil Hulk, before Marcelo shot into the side netting.

Calamity for Spain never seemed far away and they were down to 10 men with just over 20 minutes left when Neymar ghosted past Gerard Pique, who brought his man down and was red-carded for his trouble, the referee deciding he was the last line of defence.

The proud Spaniards kept fighting and came close to a consolation goal in the final 10 minutes but Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar capped a perfect night for the hosts by pulling off a pair of superb saves to deny Pedro and David Villa.
